Elizabeth Jane Hurley has been a model and actor in the United Kingdom since the early 1980s. In 1990 it was reported that she could be the lover of Hugh Grant. Hurley became the focus of the media during 1994, as Grant gained worldwide attention for the success of Four Weddings and a Funeral. Hurley accompanied Grant at the Los Angeles premiere of the film in the Versace Dress that had a plunge, and was held by gold safetypins. Hurley's association with Estee Lauder is her most memorable professional experience. Hurley was recruited by Estee Lauder as her first model at age 29. In 1995 she's been a model for Estee Lauder's cosmetics like Sensuous Intuition and Pleasures. Her most well-known work is her character, Vanessa Kensington, in the popular spy-films International Man of Mystery (2007) as well as Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (2000). Hurley designs and models the brand's eponymous collection of beachwear. Perry made more of a splash a few months later, with the single "I kissed a Girl an assertive ode to sexual curiosity backed by a rough electro-pop beat. Some critics accused the song of encouraging homosexual relations and others believed the song's sexually explicit lyrics were meant to appeal to male fantasies. The combination of excitement, a polished tune and a catchy tune helped it become a top-ten hit across a range of nations. It led to the album One of the Boys (2007) selling well. Hot N Cold, Perry's bouncy and sharply-tongued album with the second single that became a hit, also proved popular. The album which Perry composed herself, sold over three million copies.
